Martin Garrix: Best DJ in Electronic Dance Music
Best known for hits such as “Summer Days,” “In The Name Of Love,” “We Are The People” (for UEFA EURO 2020), “Scared To Be Lonely,” and “Animals,” Martin Garrix has established himself as the best DJ in electronic dance music. His performances at global events like Formula 1, The Olympics, and headlining festivals worldwide have solidified his status as a top-tier artist.
Martin Garrix is no longer just a star of the dance music world. He is a globally recognized talent who has collaborated with big names such as Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Usher, and U2. Winning the top DJ poll four times since 2016 and remaining in the Top 10 since first entering in 2014, Garrix continues to stay ahead of musical trends while maintaining his independence. At only 27, with his enduringly youthful appearance, he has carved out a unique space in the industry.
Recently, Garrix teamed up with South African rising star and gifted singer-songwriter Lloyiso, whom he discovered online. Their collaboration led to the creation of three songs in one New York session, the first of which is the upbeat dance-pop track “Real Love,” released via his STMPD label in late September.
Garrix continues to dominate the world’s biggest stages, from Tomorrowland to Creamfields, including three sold-out nights at The Brooklyn Mirage. His summer was once again highlighted by his popular Thursday residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza, playing alongside friends and peers like ACRAZE, Ferreck Dawn, and Disciples.
Despite his success, with numerous awards from MTV, YouTube, and radio, Garrix remains grounded. He has stated that his main goal is not about lists or charting but simply making people happy with his music and performances.
Reflecting on his year, Garrix shared that in addition to “doing a lot of shows all over the world,” he has been working on “some exciting projects that will be revealed soon” and has been creating “loads of new music” he is eager to share.
Among his latest ventures is the limited edition JBL Flip 6 Martin Garrix, which he co-designed. Another notable project is the ‘Garrix 10’ note, a collector’s item available in select Amsterdam locations during this year’s ADE. This note, which lists all his songs, features his autograph and UV-activated imagery, is a tribute to his music journey. Most importantly, proceeds from its sales will be donated to SOS Children’s Villages and War Child, two charities Garrix has long supported.
For these contributions and more, Martin Garrix deserves the hero status he enjoys among his millions of devoted fans.
